MODERN
The modern is a Limón based dance technique class.
The main focus of the class is on weight distribution, center of gravity, fall-recovery and suspension. The correct flow of breath as a dynamic element in dance is stressed.
The concepts of space and rhythm are integrated in the “moving across the floor” section. The composition of movement and quality of performance are inseparable
parts of the class.
STREATCH & CONDITIONING
Through guided self-exploration learn about the biomechanical placement of the body, encourage proper postural alignment and kinetic function of muscles and the related joints. Gain awareness of healthy breathing and natural energy flow together with strength in the core of the body.
Learn movement exercises to foster energetic corporal expression; increase your ability to move freely, obtain flexibility, promote strength and balance, improve breathing and acknowledge self-constructed limitations.
