Ballet

ELGA WONG is a native New Yorker, from New York City’s Lower East Side. Miss Wong has taught at Manhattan Ballet School, Ballet Hispanico and Abron Arts Center. In addition to teaching ballet, Miss Wong is the ballet coach for the Jr. Rhythmic Olympics team at the Taiwan Center in Flushing.

Miss Wong was trained at the Joffrey Ballet School and has danced with Catanach Ballet Theater, Urban Ballet Theater, Staten Island Ballet and with various small concert groups touring throughout Europe. In 2001 Miss Wong was a guest of Laura Alonso and worked with her company for 2 months.

In addition to her dancing, Miss Wong has a BA from Queens College and has modeled for articles featured in Vogue and Cosmopolitan. She has also appeared on 60 minutes in the two part feature "The Training of a Dancer" and on the Conan O'Brien Show as a featured dancer in a skit with Conan O’Brien.
