HILIP CARROLL studied music and voice at the Juilliard School and Manhattan School of Music. He is the creative director at Recording Artists Development (RAD) record label, where he has worked with hundreds of artists including: Russ DeSalvo, Billy J Stein, and Martin Briley, as well as collaborated with Jeff Jones (Dr. John, Eric Clapton, Wynton Marsalis, Willie Nelson).
Phil is a voting member of NARAS (Grammys) and the National Association of Teachers of Singing. Phil incorporates the Alexander technique and the Carl Stough method of breathing coordination as well as many other approaches and disciplines into his work.
He teaches at the Pratt Institute, Greenwich House Music School, HB studios, and private voice studio. Cabaret/Music directing at The Duplex, Don’t Tell Mama, Fez Cafe, Fast Folk Cafe, Sidewalk Café, CBGB’s and many other off Broadway venues.
