ETH TRIMM, is a Senior Adjunct Professor in Dance at the Post Campus of Long Island University. She has danced extensively in New York as well as with regional companies. Her work in ballet includes leading roles with U.S. Terpsichore, the resident company for the New York School of Ballet, directed by Richard Thomas, Barbara Fallis and Daniel Levans.

Ms. Trimm’s work in modern dance includes several years at the Merce Cunningham Studio, taking company class and performing in workshops and student choreography.  While at U.S. Terpsichore she performed in Cunningham’s Cross Currents.

She is a certified Zena Rommett Floor-Barre® instructor since 1999. She teaches floor barre® classes at annual American College Dance Festival’s and during the spring semester at LIU Post.  In addition Ms Trimm teaches open classes at London Barre in Roslyn, NY. Since Zena Rommett’s death in 2010, she has taught at the NYC floor-barre® re-certification course each August in NYC, and traveling to Rome this summer to teach at the European re-certification course.

Ms. Trimm is a dance teaching artist with the Tilles Center Arts Education program at Tilles Center for the Performing Arts on Long Island.  She was a member of the national team for the Teaching Artists Mentoring Project from 2002-2006, an initiative developed by the Association of Institutes for Aesthetic Education.

Ms. Trimm holds a B.A. in History from LIU and a M.A. in Dance Education from NYU.
